Our story
What This Site Used to Cover, and What It Covers Now
The earlier bronxlockandtech.com was a locksmith site, with a page for each Bronx ZIP code and a list of service stations. Over the years our work in the borough moved to the systems around the lock: video intercoms for walk-ups, fob readers on lobby doors, camera systems for stores and warehouses.
Lock hardware still matters on every job we do. A card reader or an intercom release depends on the strike, the closer and the frame, and our technicians check all three on each door they wire.
Every technician is a Lock and Tech USA employee. As a result, whoever quotes your job answers for the installation and for the service calls that come after it.

What We Check in Bronx Buildings
Older buildings in the borough share a few traits that shape how a system gets installed. The walkthrough covers each of them before we write a price.
- Original lobby finishesMany lobbies along the Grand Concourse keep their 1930s terrazzo, brass and ironwork. Panels and readers go where they can be mounted without cutting into those surfaces.
- Shared risers in walk-upsIntercom wiring in older walk-ups often runs up one riser for every floor, so a single break can silence a whole line. We test pair by pair before choosing between a repair and new cable.
- Heavy entrance doorsSteel and aluminum street doors with strong closers need a strike or maglock rated to hold them, and a closer adjusted so the door latches on its own.
- Power and network in the basementWe find a clean circuit for the recorder and the door controllers, and we add battery backup so the doors and cameras ride through a short outage.
- Roll-down gates on commercial stripsOnce the gate comes down at night, one camera has to watch the gate itself and another the door behind it.
- Tenants and residentsWork in occupied buildings is scheduled with the managing agent, and the entrance stays usable while the crew is on site.
How we work
Four Rules Every Crew Follows
They hold for a one-door repair in a two-family house and for a fob system across a 120-unit building.
See it, then price it
A quote over the phone would be a guess, so a technician visits the property before you get a number.
Plain-language proposals
Each device, where it goes, the labor and any monthly fee, written so a board member without a technical background can follow it.
Neat wiring
Cable runs inside the wall wherever we can open it and in painted raceway where we cannot, and each device is tested while you watch.
Your logins stay yours
You keep administrator access, so adding a tenant or removing a former employee never waits on us.
Credentials
Insured, Bonded and Guaranteed
Our crews carry liability insurance and bonding, and the managing agent or board receives a certificate before anyone opens a ceiling in the lobby. NYS license #: coming soon
Workmanship on every installation is guaranteed for three years. Electrical components carry a 12-month warranty, and labor is included under both, so a failed power supply in month eleven costs you nothing to replace.

What Clients Wrote on Google
Gabriel and his team installed a new intercom system in my building. They are so professional and responsive. They did the job quickly yet with precision. It is such an improvement from what we had, I can't believe we waited so long to do it. I highly recommend Lock and Tech!
Hired this company to move our intercom system from inside to outside and also to install a new magnetic door lock on the outside glass door. This company did a great job and did a professional installation. They even helped us set up the AxTrax software for free to help manage access for our key-fob system. Recommended!!
